Read hotel reviews by newlyweds for unbiased travel opinions.where you will spend those romantic evenings and relaxing mornings. It may seem like there are too many to choose from and at the same time, you can't seem to find the one hotel that has everything you want. This process can seem overwhelming. If you don't have the time to research a lot of hotels, consider going straight to a travel agent with your criteria. They can give you great options that fit your description and budget. If you want to do the research yourself or in conjunction with a travel agent, look closely at the reviews and ratings of the hotels and less at the photos! Photos are great but can be deceiving.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
1. Do you fancy a luxury resort, a small bed and breakfast, a moderately priced hotel?
2. Do you need lots of amenities on location or can you cut corners and live with the bare essentials?
3. How much can you spend per night?
4. Are all inclusives appealing to you?
Tip: Be realistic, if you want luxury, fine dining, tons of amenities, a honeymoon suite and the best location, but you only have $200 a day to spend, you won't find it, even in some of the most affordable locations. A certain luxury and quality of hotel does come with a higher price tag, so weigh the importance of your hotel preferences.
Hotel Chains - It is difficult to decipher the reality of hotel quality in the midst of all the advertisements pressed on us. Each hotel looks like a paradise, but is this really what you'll receive? Many chains have a reputation for high quality or luxury resorts, which will usually stay consistent. This does not mean that there won't be bad experiences at even the best resorts. As for the chains who do not have a good reputation, it is hard to predict your experience. The best way to get an accurate picture of what the hotel is like is to do a lot of research and read reviews by other couples seeking a romantic setting.

"By late evening we heard stories of no air-conditioning, dirty toilets and bugs from doors that didn't seal when they were shut. Later on we found out that the upgraded rooms were in worse shape than the garden views. Wednesday was the very end of our honeymoon. I woke up with stomach cramps that had me in a fetal postion most of the day. I was sick Wednesday. My husband was sick Thursday. My step-Father was sick on Friday and through all of this some 20 people in our party were sick at some point." Newlyweds from Indianapolis, Indiana.
