How to Book Directly with a Hotel or Resort
Couples look for the best honeymoon resort discounts and honeymoon packages that they can get. Calling a hotel or resort chain directly can lower your nightly rate. Some hotel chains claim that their lowest fares and discounts are on their websites. Once you choose your resort, or narrow it down between a few, browse the Internet to get a general idea of the price, then call the hotel or resort chain, and finally, ask a travel agent to find the cheapest rate. Make sure you emphasize that this is a honeymoon vacation to receive any added perks. 
Hint: Call the hotel the week before you arrive and double-check your reservations, reminding them once again that this is your honeymoon vacation. We’ve heard many stories about purchasing a room over the Internet and the resort not being able to find the reservation once the couple arrived. A quick phone call to verify is definitely worth it!
