Honeymoon Reviews

Air Jamaica was AWFUL and I will never fly them again. Montego Bay Airport was terrible in getting our luggage off the plane to us. The shuttle, which was a regular shuttle bus, to our resort was fair because we had to wait quite a while to fill it up. The ride back to the airport was in an awesome Motor Coach with movies and was extremely comfortable! The welcome we received at SATP was terrific. Cool towels and a cold fruit punch. The rooms were awesome in that they were a 2 unit tree house up on stilts. The veranda afforded privacy and extreme comfort on the futon. The showers were awesome! 6 jets from the front of the shower and a separate shower head and jets in the back. However, the bathroom door was made of lattice and you should see and hear everything going on!! The food was good on the buffet for all three meals. The drinks were fun, fruity and plentiful! SATP gave us a private honeymoon dinner on one of our nights poolside. Very romantic with candles around the pool and flower petals on the table! The pool and pool bar were immaculate! We loved the open air dining room. We also loved how the whole resort, all the lounge areas, were also open air. We had no problems with bugs but we were there in October so that may make a difference. The staff were wonderful. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate you. The resort is very low key. Very quiet and is excellent for couples - not a party place for young kids or even toddlers. Very serene and peaceful. The beach across the street could not have been better!! The walk was not the burden that some reviewers complained about. The beach bar/grill were wonderful. The only complaint we have is that the water sports were lacking terribly. We were taken out to snorkel and had to be escorted back in by the Jamaican Police because the 'captain' of the ship was not following Jamaican laws in having another crew member on board. However, it made for a fun story to tell when we got back home! The vendors on the beach were a bit annoying but after a while you get used to them - again it leds itself to fun stories to tell back home! There was a simple wedding there on the beach during our stay and it was really pretty w/an arch made of flowers. SATP is a 12 on the scale of 1-10!! I highly recommend it and would definitely go back again!
