08/05/2006   When i booked our honeymoon i went to great lengths to make sure everything was in order and taken care of.upon arrival we were told that our room would be ready in 2 to 3 hours,(we arrived at 1:30 pm)they said that they would give us 2 comp coffees.then they informed me that our room would be on a lower floor,when i had been promised that as a honeymooner we would be in one of the top floors.i said that i was not real happy.then the manager came and said that they were sorry about the mixup,and would we like 2 comp dinner passes? I said that i had bought a package deal that included our meals.the manager said that the room we ordered didn't come with a package(it was a corner suite). I said we aren't even getting the room we ordered,we can't get in the room for 2 more hours,and you offer me 2 coffees and 2 meals that i already paid for? She said sorry about the mixup and yes that is basically the way it is,the mixup must have happened with whoever booked me.i said that was your people right here.she said do you remember their name?i said i booked it in february,no i don't,but i have a pretty good idea of what i would call them.she said let me see,and began looking at the computer,sir i see that we could get you a room,pretty high up and it is a suite,since we have incoveninced you,how about if we give you that room,for the same price?i said,that is what i paid for to start with,she said we will throw in the comp dinners,i said i paid for that too,she said here are a couple comp coffees,and we also will get your room ready right away.i said fine. And may i add that i am pretty easy going,and never raised my voice,actually it was kinda comical.the room ended up being great,but the dinner was bad.my wife and i both said a fast food place would have been better.luckily i didn't get my free meals that i had paid for and wasn't 'obligated' to eat there again.
