Honeymoon Reviews
07/20/2006
We stayed at two hotels in Harbour Island to stretch our budget. The first hotel was more affordable and had a great bed and breakfast charm (The Bahama House - for which I will write a seperate review). However, The Coral Sands was great if you can afford the higher room rates (around $300 a night when we went in 2005), but it was worth the money. The waterfront location was perfect and the room (we had the loft/honeymoon suite) was amazing as it had 2 levels with most the space on the second foor and a terrific ocean view great for sunrises. Also, it had a private balcony that led to a rooftop that only our room had access to, which was great for lounging and tanning. Additionally, the Pink Sands beach was a few meters away. The food at the beachside restaurant was excellent and although at first appeared pricey to us, was some of the more afforable on the island. If you have a reasonable honeymoon budget, I reccommend staying and both The Bahama House and The Coral Sands.
