Reasons to Travel to Kauai

  1. Beaches Kauai’s has many beaches, less populated than other islands. Spend the day lounging on the pristine beach at your hotel or explore the many hidden gems around the island. There are many private beaches where you can spend the day alone. Ask the locals about where these secret beaches are located, although most aren’t secret anymore.

  2. Mountains and Canyons Mountains and Canyons: Unlike many tropical destinations, Kauai’s inner island is as much reason to visit as the beaches and ocean. Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Parks are great destinations for couples seeking canyon and forest scenery. You will also be amazed at the dramatic coastal views that are available, making for perfect photos.
  3. Napali Coast The cliffs along the 17-mile Napali Coast are stunning. The cliffs reach peaks as high as 4,000 feet. These verdant cliffs are spotted with waterfalls and hidden beaches. Many different cruises and excursions visit the Napali Coast, so pick your favorite.
  4. Culture and History Visit local cultural and historical places such as a local coffee plantation, Prince Kuhio Park, the birthplace of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole. Or check out the restored Hawaiian village on the riverbanks to get insight into Kauai’s early native population. Another great piece of history is the Kilauea Point Lighthouse.
  5. Watersports There are plenty of water activities to keep you wet all day long. Snorkeling and scuba diving are favorite pastimes. Kauai has an abundance of sea life, including dolphins, turtles and tropical fish. Advanced divers can even explore lava tubes and caves. Go whale watching to view some of the thousands of humpback whales migrate from Alaska to Hawaii. Surfers can visit one of the many incredible surfing locations around the island. Or for something more relaxing, ride through a mountain irrigation tunnel in a tube. This is a unique and excited trip.
