| We were married and honeymooned at the Reefs Resort in Bermuda. There is an area called Caso's Point that was designed specifically for wedding ceremonies. It is a two level deck nestled in the cliffs overlapping the water and is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I chose not to have any guests, however this area can accommodate many people. The natural backdrop was beautiful enough. The resort furnishes crisp white umbrellas that are positioned along the deck, pedestals for floral arrangements, white chairs, bar, tables, etc. |
| There are stairs starting from the higher deck, down to the adjoining lower deck, for the procession. We used a portable CD player for our ceremony music. "The Moment" by Kenny G played as I walked down the walkway, to the deck, and finally to my husband. We were surprised at how beautiful and clear the music was, in spite of being outdoors. Once the ceremony started we chose not to have music playing, the sound of the waves was all we needed. After the ceremony we had our first dance on the deck and the song was "Innocence", by Kenny G. Again, the beautiful crisp sound of these two jazz selections, with the crystal clear sound of the saxophone, echoed in the wind, and added even more elegance and magic to our ceremony. |
| The resort itself was beautiful, and the private beach is one of the best in Bermuda. There are 3 restaurants, and the food was very good at all of them. Beach dining is also available and I cannot tell you how romantic and beautiful that experience was. There are only about 6-8 tables set up for beach dining per night. Torches are lit, and everything is done to ensure a beautiful experience. This resort is definitely designed for romance. Everything from the pool, overlooking the cliff, to the atmosphere in the restaurants, to the beautiful landscape is perfect for honeymooners. There is a place directly across the street for renting mopeds (which my husband was thrilled about). It is a convenient location, as the local bus stops right outside the entrance to the resort. We were very happy with our choice, and if we had it to do over again, we would have done the same. |
