Jamaica is incessantly chosen as a favorite destination for honeymoons. Not only is it an all-inclusive resort paradise, there are numerous resorts that have affordable packages. Jamaica also has all the favorite attractions of a tropical island: beautiful beaches, clear blue waters, lush vegetation, flowing rivers and breathtaking waterfalls. For couples looking for more than tropical beaches and luxury resorts, they can also enjoy the great cuisine, art, shopping and tourist attractions. Nightlife isn’t just a resort attraction in Jamaica. Music and dancing are the locals’ passion.
Jamaica has three main beaches, which are ideal for honeymoon vacations. Montego Bay has beautiful beaches, luxury resorts and great shopping, although not a lot of nightlife. Negril is a two-hour drive from the Montego Bay airport, but well worth it for the beautiful beaches and all-inclusive resorts. Ocho Rios doesn’t compete with Montego Bay or Negril for the quality of the beach or scenic attractions, but it does have a wide assortment of amazing resorts. Ocho Rios is plagued with cruise ships and their passengers. This can be a pain if you’re looking for seclusion but is the perfect location if you like to party.
Traveling Cheap to Jamaica
Many resorts own the beaches on their property. Even though they are not public, most will let you pay a small fee to enjoy the private beach for the day, while staying someone less expensive. Jamaica isn’t just a tourist destination, so you can find great deals that are not available on many island destinations.
